Lance J. Wrobel, M.D.
Dr. Wrobel hails from the Windy City. After undergraduate studies at Loyola University, Chicago, he completed his medical
school education at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. After interning at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, he
and his family moved to California. He completed his residency in Orthopedics at the U.S. Naval Hospital, San Diego.
Thereafter, he served at the Naval Hospital in Long Beach where he was Asst. Chief of Orthopedics. While in the Navy, he
served as Chief Physician and Surgeon for COMDESRON 31 in the Western Pacific where his duties required worldwide travel.
He began his private practice in the Saddleback community in 1977. He has served in various capacities at Mission Regional
and Saddleback Memorial Medical Centers including Chief of Orthopedics at Saddleback. He is Board Certified by the American
Board of Orthopaedic Surgery; a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons,
and the Arthroscopic Association of North America; and a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He practices
general orthopedics with special interest in sports medicine and arthroscopy, arthritis and joint replacement surgery. He has
been team physician and orthopedic consultant for Dana Hills H.S. He has served in this capacity for Santa Margarita High
School since its inception in 1987.
