Lauren Azzam, OTR/L
Hand Therapist
Lauren began her career in the rehabilitation field in 2013 as a therapy aide, where she developed a strong passion for patient care and recovery. She found the rehabilitation setting very rewarding as she witnessed patients’ progress firsthand. During this time, she discovered a particular interest in occupational therapy with a focus in hand therapy, which ultimately shaped her professional goals.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California Baptist University, followed by a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. Her clinical fieldwork included experience in both inpatient skilled nursing and specialized hand therapy settings.
Lauren has long been committed to becoming a hand therapist and further refined her clinical skills while working with an orthopedic group in South Florida.
Outside of her professional life, Lauren is a passionate sports fan, closely following the Raiders, Lakers, and Dodgers. She also enjoys professional soccer and attended the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. She is an avid traveler, certified scuba diver, and Pilates enthusiast.
