Mark Allen, PT, MPT
Mark grew up in Yorba Linda and played football, soccer, and baseball at Esperanza High School. He then attended Occidental College in Los Angeles where he studied biological and exercise science and played on the baseball and golf teams. Mark later graduated Cum Laude from Loma Linda University School of Physical Therapy in 1997.
Mark has spent his professional life in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. He has successfully built several private practices in Orange County and has mentored many current and future physical therapists. Mark was the team physical therapist for the United States Waterski Teams at the 2006 Panamerica Games. His patients over the years include Major tennis champions and professionals from the NFL, MLB, PGA Tour, NHL, AMA Supercross, MLS, La Liga, Bundesliga, and US Men’s National Soccer Team.
Mark is a frequent consultant for many local college, high school, and club sports teams. He has coached and officiated soccer, baseball, and football for many years. Mark is a member of the sports and orthopedic sections of the American Physical Therapy Association. He has particular interest in manual therapy techniques and research into the most-effective exercises to maximize his patients’ function and performance. Mark enjoys playing all sports, especially skiing, golf, and soccer. He is a die-hard fan of Liverpool FC and the Anaheim Ducks. Mark and his wife, Tara, have two young-adult children and proudly live in Yorba Linda.
