JC's Story

Comments: Hunter is doing great after the shoulder surgery. He is feeling tremendous! It’s an incredible feeling of relief to a father to see his son being able to have a normal life and enjoy his last two years in high school (just being a normal teenager). Before the surgery, Hunter was unable to use his arm at all without the possibility of dislocating it with each and every forceful extension of his arm. I am not just talking about wrestling either. I later found out from him that things were so bad that he could not throw a ball or swim or even just mess around with his buddies without popping his arm out of place and experiencing a great deal of pain. Of course, he never wanted to tell anyone due to the wrestler mentality. Needless to say, had you and your team not volunteered to assist him on December 21st (a date we will always remember) his life would have been severely altered and in a very negative way. It was not just Hunter who would have impacted. My entire family would have felt his pain AND especially me for having lost his insurance as we lost our jobs over the last 18 months.

So I just wanted to again thank you and your entire team…….. from top to bottom (the other doctors, nurses, front desk people, Kat) . You really changed my son’s life (and mine) in more ways than I can explain on email. It’s one of those things that will end up being one of those critical life lessons for Hunter (and my family) in the way he (we) treat people in the future.
